Iznik ceramics made famous in Ottoman Turkey are celebrated for their lively painted designs and architectural tilework. This piece is a later Iznik revival / decorative interpretation perfect for adding a warm Mediterranean note to a modern interior.

Iznik pottery (Ottoman Turkey, peak production c. 1480–1650) is celebrated for its quartz-frit body, crisp underglaze painting, and bold motifs (tulips, carnations, saz leaves) often outlined in black, with a classic palette of cobalt blue, turquoise, green and sealing-wax red.
Modern “Iznik style” pieces are widespread, made both in Turkey and elsewhere, echoing Ottoman motifs while using contemporary clays/glazes and freer brushwork. Yellow is more commonly seen in later/modern decorative interpretations than in classic high Iznik.
